Irvine Chinese School & Preschool

1. Application Date: March 15, 2026 to April 19, 2026
2. Requirements: To be eligible for a graduation certificate, students who meet the criteria in (A), (B) or (C) must achieve a final grade of B or higher for the academic year, have good attendance (Note 1), maintain proper conduct, and receive a recommendation from their teacher for that academic year.
   • Students in U.S. schools in 9th grade or higher (including 9th grade) who have completed High School Chinese Level II (or an equivalent or higher-level course) and have attended Irvine Chinese School continuously for eight years.
   • Students in U.S. schools in 10th grade or higher (including 10th grade) who have completed High School Chinese Level II (or an equivalent or higher-level course) and have attended Irvine Chinese School continuously for five years.
   • Students in U.S. schools in 9th grade or higher (including 9th grade) who have completed High School Chinese Level III (or an equivalent or higher-level course) and have attended Irvine Chinese School continuously for three years.

4. Photo: Each applicant must provide a 2.5” X 3.5” color photo in jpg or jpeg format.
5. Reflection: Applicant are required to submit a reflection in Chinese (200-300 words). Please include your class, full name in both Chinese and English, and submit the document electronically in Word format (PDF will not be accepted). Suggested Topics (Pick one):
   • One of My Most Unforgettable Events/Moments in Chinese School
   • How Learning Chinese Benefits me
   • Irvine Chinese School and I
   • Sharing My Experience in Learning Chinese
6. To apply for the Academic Excellence Award, a copy of the grade report from the College Board must be submitted along with the application.
7. Please email your application form(s), photo, reflection and proof for the award to aa@sccca.org Submit your transcripts, attendance records, and check to Academic Affairs.
8. Fee: The fee covers the yearbook, certificate, and related activities, with a charge of $50.00 per student ($20 for those applying for the Academic Excellence Award only). Please make checks payable to: SCCCA. Students who qualify for the Academic  Excellence Award or the Best Perseverance Award will be exempt from this fee.
9. Use your student account to print out your attendance records and transcript. Bring your transcript
   to your teacher for comments and signature.

*If a student who is absent for more than ten sessions (weeks) during this school year without submitting a doctor’s note, he or she will automatically be withdrawn from school with an incomplete grade.

   • 美國學校九年級以上(含九年級), 完成高中 Chinese Level II (或相等程度以上的課程)且連續滿八年就讀於爾灣中文學校。
   • 美國學校十年級以上(含十年級), 完成高中 Chinese Level II (或相等程度以上的課程)且 連續五年就讀於爾灣中文學校。
   • 美國學校九年級以上(含九年級), 完成高中 Chinese Level III (或相等程度以上的課程)且連續三年就讀於爾灣中文學校。
3. 申請表格: 請至學校網站下載。
4. 照片: 尺寸 (Wallet) 2.5”X 3.5”, 個人彩色相片一張 (color photo in jpg or jpeg format) 。
5. 結業生須繳交一篇中文的結業感言(限字數200-300 之間), 需註明您的班級, 中/英文姓名，並使用電子檔繳交 (in Word document, PDF will not be accepted). 感言的參考題目，請從中選一個主題:。
   • 在中文學校我最難忘的一件事
   • 學中文對我的幫助
   • 爾灣中文學校與我
   • 我學中文的經驗談
6. 申請學業優異獎，需在申請時一併遞交大學理事會的考試成績影本。
7. 以上資料請電郵至 aa@sccca.org , 成績單、出勤記錄及支票請繳交至教務處。
8. 費用：包括紀念冊、證書及相關活動, 每位學生收費 $50.00 (如果僅申請學業優異獎項收費 $20)，支票抬頭請開立: SCCCA。符合學業優異獎項或最佳毅力獎申請資格者將可免除此費 用。
9. 成績單及出勤紀錄需登入校方的學生帳號自行印出, 再經由該學年度任課老師於該生的成績單上加註評語和簽名。

*註: 如果學生該學年度缺席超過十週, 且沒有提供學校醫生證明者, 視同自行退學, 並不賦予 該學年度學歷。
